The Desert Kick
In a remote village in Rajasthan, where girls are expected to remain within the boundaries of home, a group of young women discover football. As they navigate poverty, social restrictions and the prospect of early marriage, the game becomes a rare space of freedom and self-expression.
Twelve of them eventually go on to represent Rajasthan and help the state win its first Junior Girls' National Football Championship — a story about sport, agency, identity and the power of opportunity.

About
Not every filmmaker starts in film school
GhanShyam Singh Odint is a filmmaker, writer and lyricist whose stories begin in the villages of Rajasthan. His path didn't start in a studio — responsibility came before ambition, and he worked for years before returning to the dream he'd set aside.
He trained in film direction and moved to Mumbai, learning the craft as an assistant director at Balaji Telefilms and later with filmmaker-producer Saawan Kumar — before coming home to build his own body of work.
